SOLITAIRE JEWELLERY’S VOLUNTARY WARRANTY

At Solitaire Jewellery, our commitment to delivering exquisite, high-quality jewellery is reflected in the pride we take in every piece that adorns our customers. We assure you of the superior craftsmanship of our products, and if, from a manufacturing perspective, your jewellery is found to have any defects, rest assured that we will cover and resolve any necessary repairs or replacements under your warranty without any additional charges. This includes claw and setting tightening within the first year of purchase, addressing metal faults that result in item breakage, provided there are no visible signs of damage or trauma to the rest of the piece and any other manufacturing faults or defects identified by our in-house jeweller.

OUR PROMISE

You will also receive the following services:

  • One Ring resize
  • Cleaning and polishing for the life of the jewellery
  • One Rhodium plating for white gold
  • Checking of claws and settings
  • One Independent Jewellery Valuation for insurance purposes (if purchase over $1,000)

We recommend bringing your piece in for a clean and check every six months.

EXCLUSIONS TO SOLITAIRE JEWELLERY’S WARRANTY

  • Normal and reasonable wear and tear
  • Prongs or claws that have been worn out, caught on or bent out of shape, causing loss and damage to stones.
  • Lost stones due to worn-out settings caused by normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by not undertaking general maintenance and checks.
  • Accidental and unintentional damage, e.g., scratches, misshapen prongs etc.
  • Damage sustained during injury or collision, e.g., rings having to be cut off due to arm or hand injury.

  • Re-shanking
  • Rhodium plating – usually only applied to white gold
  • Damage caused by the elements
  • Damage caused by exposure to chemicals, abrasive surfaces and sulphates, makeup, fake tan or mineral springs
  • Loss or theft as a result of accidental damage or mysterious disappearance – Warranty is void if the item has been repaired or tampered with by another jeweller or yourself.
  • Natural imperfections and variations in natural stones.
  • We do not cover any damage that may occur during a repair or check of an item that contains created or clarity-enhanced stones or base metal jewellery.

If you believe there is something wrong with your jewellery, please get in touch with us, visit us instore or email us at info@solitairejewellery.com.au

Where applicable, we will meet our obligation to you under Australian Consumer Law. Full details of your rights can be found at www.accc.gov.au

The warranty inclusions apply to Solitaire Jewellery items and not to any other manufacturer’s goods, even if we have repaired them. See our repairs warranty inclusions and exclusions.

Please remember that Fine Jewellery is not immune to wear and tear or trauma. Rings, in particular, are more likely to show signs of damage and wear as our hands tend to be more subjected to accidental trauma.

INSURANCE AND VALUATION

We highly recommend that items valued at or over $1,000 are insured under your choice of insurance company. This should include loss, theft, and accidental damage. Always ensure the item is insured for the amount stated on your jewellery valuation supplied to you. Valuations should be updated every 4-5 years.
